Prometheus,
for Collin

The studio's own operating system for working with AI, and the office build that is its current chapter. Everything here was measured on the live system the night this was written. The lights are on, but they're behind glass.

01What this is

One OS, three ideas

A studio of named agent seats, each holding a shelf of our knowledge, run from the founder's seat and extended one operator at a time. Sovereign: the knowledge, the memory and the decisions live on hardware we own; the models we rent sit on top, not underneath.

Skills

479 skills a seat can pick up like a tool, plus a visual armory of 4,561 kits, types and assets.

Rulings

245 decisions by the founder, each with its reason. Nothing in the mesh is deleted — superseded rulings stay, marked.

Operators

Four seats. The founder's is the master console; the others get specialized setups on their own machines.

03How it is governed

Four rules shape everything

Nothing is decided by the AI

Claude proposes; Phil rules. A ruling is not final until the surface that serves it is updated — a decision that nobody can see is not a decision.

Measure before you speak

State is read live from the system, never remembered from a chat. If a claim carries a date older than the last close, it is not evidence about now.

Nothing is deleted

Retired seats and superseded rulings stay in the mesh with their history. The system keeps its own archaeology.

One door

Every view goes through one served endpoint, behind one login. Offices, consoles and dashboards read the same source.

Where the law is published

The dispatch hub mirrors the boot document and every ruling. A strand that closes without updating it is not closed. The pages that matter for Prometheus:

PageWhat it answers
/stateThe operational truth: a section per strand, what was gaveled, a "pick up here" callout per close with its go phrase
/changelogThe sprint log — one entry per close, newest marked TODAY, the rest SHIPPED

06The office build

Why an office, and one decision

Agents that only exist as log lines are invisible to the people who work beside them. Michelle runs her office on Munder Difflin — agents at desks, a task board, questions back to her, what it costs. It works, and it made the case for the rest of us.

The thesis Collin, KJ and Phil put forward: the polish of our own office should exhibit the team's creative breadth.

the decision
The feed is the contract.
The engine is a renderer.
Read each office's open files through a consent gate into one feed; let the console and every renderer read that feed. The engine can change without touching anything upstream.

08The office build · what exists

Built, planned, held

Built · tested

office-feed / v0. Reads a Munder hive or our own office. Publishes agents and state, open tasks, what is blocked, what is waiting on a human, spend today. Refuses without the operator's consent file; never exposes paths, memory or secrets. Nine tests.

Planned · pane held

The founder console. Mission control gains an OFFICES pane: one row per office, live or stale, who is blocked, who is asking, spend. Briefs go back to an office as a message to its lead agent — never a write into someone else's files.

Assessed · held

The engine. Author everything in Blender, export glTF once, render three ways: a web door for phones, a rendered wallboard from the studio's GPU box, Unreal as a one-week prove-or-kill spike. Unity dropped. Held until the genome holds the craft.

09Reverse engineering as the spirit

The target is judgment, not software

Collin's read — that embracing reverse engineering hits the core of the sovereign build — became doctrine the same night. Every operator already runs an OS of their own: verbs, defaults, tolerances, the reflex that says "no, not like that." Reverse engineering is observe, infer the model, rebuild in your own material. Applied to a person, that is how each seat's AI becomes theirs.

A shelf

The genome had no reverse-engineering shelf. Seeded this week, The Art of Reverse Engineering: Open – Dissect – Rebuild at the head.

A harvest discipline

Plugins and kits are read for method, formats and behaviour. Nothing is installed or shipped; the structure is taken, the art is left.

Knowledge ≠ judgment

Courses are what an operator knows. Logged verdicts — keep, harvest, discard, and why — are what they choose. Only the second trains a model of the person.

A verb layer

Every editor and DAW is a skin over the same project model. The operator's tool speaks their verbs and lands in whatever app the pipeline needs.

Eight open items, four for you

  1. The office as an exhibit. The breadth we have is Blender and film craft — so a rendered office plus a web office that is ours to the last line. Right exhibit, or does a real-time Unreal room earn its quarter?
  2. Console body. Mission control's OFFICES pane versus a governance tool as the founder console's body. What does the founder need to see across four offices at a glance?
  3. One office per operator. How much of the look is shared, how much is the operator's own.
  4. Reverse engineering as method. What the written method looks like applied to a person, and what the operator should see of their own model.
  5. Engine decision — Blender-first with a gated Unreal spike, held.
  6. Michelle's two asks — feed consent; a config move so her office survives updates.
  7. First light for the founder office — retry the auth step.
  8. BROO's registry row and the house pixel kit.
